Take a minute to learn about me and hear why I am so excited about this Group Spiritual Coaching Program!

I grew up Christian in a combination of non-denominational, pentecostal, and baptist-originating churches. In my early 20s, I attended and participated in churches of the reformed denomination. Additionally, my background includes volunteering in ministry, launching faith based organizations, leading theological studies, mentoring Black women, providing spiritual coaching services, and facilitating and leading seminars and speaking engagements.
As I was navigating my healing journey, I recognized a big part of my experiences with un-wellness and dis-ease could be attributed to religious trauma. A lot of the indoctrination and belief systems created a poor self concept, led to a lack of participation in boundaries, enabled and taught the maintenance of unhealthy relationships, created undue anxiety and perfectionism, and led to me wearing a mask and suppressing my authentic self. Once I affirmed for myself that I deserved better, things began to change. As a spiritual life coach, I want to help other Black women create that shift for themselves.
I identify as "spiritual" and participate in and pull from many spiritual practices to maintain optimal spiritual wellness. I believe that we all have the Divine within, and part of our life's purpose is to connect with our higher self to ascend. I believe that ancestors provide guidance and protection. I also believe in a higher power that can be referred to by many names (Universe, Creator, Divine, God, Spirit, etc). Additionally, I believe that holistic wellness helps us to achieve and maintain spiritual wellness. Some of my spiritual practices/belief systems include womanist and liberation theologies, Afrikan spirituality, ancestral reverence, card reading, yoga, meditation, reiki, middle eastern medicine practices, etc. I pull from these practices as a spiritual life coach.
